Product Catalogue

Retention Hardware Product Families

Four families covering module clamping, insertion and extraction, LRU hold-down, and vibration isolation for defense and aerospace electronics.

Retention Hardware

Hardware that keeps a plug-in module or an LRU positively mounted: the wedge lock that clamps it to the cold wall, the puller that seats and extracts it, the front locking device that holds it in its rack, and the isolator that protects it from platform vibration.

Why this range

Figures you can check before you ask

Every figure below is taken from the 2025 product manual and is repeated on the family page next to the part number it belongs to.

  • 01 / dimensionsFull dimension set

130 part numbers, each with its length, height, mounting holes and screw thread published, so the fit can be checked against your rail before a drawing is requested.

  • 02 / forceClamping and extraction, rated

The wedge lock clamps the module to the cold wall and holds it against shock and vibration. The puller gives more than 450 N of extraction assistance and is proven over 500 insert and extract cycles.

  • 03 / holdingHolding capacity per device

Front locking devices hold 5 kg per device under vibration condition A and 14 kg under condition B, on a NAS1637 lever handle interface.

  • 04 / environmentFinished for the platform

Passivated stainless steel, hard-anodised aluminium alloy and titanium hooks on the B3 clamps. Module hardware is rated -55 °C to +125 °C; front locking devices are tested to 192 h acid salt fog and 28 days of mould.

Where they are used

Modules and LRUs on airborne, shipboard and vehicle platforms

Conduction-cooled VPX, CPCI, VME, ASAAC and ATR modules clamped to the cold wall of an airborne, shipboard or vehicle-mounted chassis; rack-mounted avionics LRUs that have to stay positively latched and still come out quickly for service; and enclosures where platform vibration would otherwise reach the electronics directly.
